The Senior Manager Finance is responsible for the financial function in the health & Wellbeing sector. They produce financial reports, budgeting activity, direct investment activities, Business cases and develop strategies and plans for the long-term financial goals of the organization.
Planning, Strategy, Implementation and continuous monitoring/ improvement
- Develop and implement financial strategies for the organization.
- Oversee the preparation of all financial reporting.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Implement strategies to minimize financial risk.
- Monitor and interpret cash flows and predict future trends.
- Liaise with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out.
- Develop external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organizations.
- Maintain good relationships with key clients and vendors.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to the management.
- Lead financial audits and coordinate with internal and external auditors.
- Manage and oversee the organization’s budgeting and investments.
- Analyze complex financial data and extract and define relevant information.
- Interpret financial transactions and events for users who must make economic or business decisions.
Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with all levels of management within the organization to ensure that finance is both supporting and challenging the business in achieving its objectives.
- Act as the key point of contact for all financial matters, providing clear, accurate, and timely financial advice.
- Work closely with the senior management team to provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders such as auditors, solicitors, bankers, and statutory organizations to ensure the smooth running of all financial matters.
- Develop and maintain systems that will ensure the effective management of the organization’s financial resources.
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, promoting a culture of high performance, continuous improvement and shared objectives.
- Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the finance department.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- A master’s degree in finance, Accounting or Economics or any other related field or bachelor’s degree with minimum of 10 years’ experience in the same field.
- Professional qualification such as CFA/CPA or similar will be considered a plus.
- Proven experience as a Financial Manager.
- Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns.
- Proficient user of finance software.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting models.
- Ability to strategize and solve problems.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers.
Qualifications
