Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Payroll Manager to oversee their payroll operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing for our employees in both Canada and the United States.

• Manage and oversee the end-to-end payroll process for both Canadian and US employees, including data entry, calculations, deductions, and tax filings
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of federal, state/provincial, and local payroll tax laws and regulations
• Ensure compliance with all payroll-related legislation and regulations
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries in a timely and professional manner
• Supervise and develop a high-performing payroll team
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard payroll data
• Collaborate with HR, finance, and other departments to ensure smooth payroll operations
• Utilize payroll software systems effectively and recommend system enhancements as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of payroll management experience, with a strong focus on both Canadian and US payroll
• In-depth knowledge of Canadian and US payroll tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
• Proficiency in payroll software systems
