The Senior Manager of Finance & Shared Services will work as a member of the Leadership Team, providing strategic advice and subject matter expertise. Incumbent will oversee the financial operations of the organisation. Work closely with management to develop and implement strategies and plans to achieve the company’s long-term objectives.

• Drive the financial planning of the company by analysing its performance and risks
• Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements
• Maintaining records according to Canadian generally accepted accounting principles including the recording of general journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and reconciliation of bank statements
• Preparing HST/GST/QST/PST tax returns as needed
• Ensuring deliverables/assignments (A/R, A/P, Payroll, Invoicing) is handled in accordance with policies and expectations
• Working with external accountants to provide information as required to produce year end financial reports and corporate tax returns
• Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a quarterly and annual basis
• Conduct analysis to make forecasts and report to upper executives
• Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines
• Lead in the preparation and final review of the annual budget
• Assist with developing policies and procedures leading to strong internal controls

Must haves:

• Strong communication (English)
• Canada based
• CPA
• 5+ years experience, at a senior level
• Corporate Finance / Significant P&L Experience
• Multi company consolidations

Nice to haves:

• Operational experience/ Experience with Big 4 accounting firms
• Experience with creating financial statements and the month-end/year end close process
• Accuracy and attention to detail is absolutely required, as well as a track record of reliability, confidentiality, and conscientious work habits
• Ability to interpret data and make cost effective decisions
• Intercompany & transfer pricing exposure
• US experience
