As part of a planned retirement succession, we are filling the position of Head of Accounting (m/f/d) for our team in Germany. In addition to the basic virtues of financial accounting, the role involves making financial processes future-proof through digitization and modernization.

• Responsibility for the accounting team in Germany with currently six employees
• Independent responsibility for ongoing accounting including asset accounting for selected companies within a Shared Service Center Finance (FSSC)
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and HGB
• Key role in the preparation and audit of the annual subgroup financial statements of Hoerbiger Deutschland Holding GmbH
• Carrying out account clarifications and reconciliations as part of closing and consolidation work
• Contact person for auditors and tax consultants and the tax office during company audits
• Participation in the design and further development of processes in the area of ​​finance and accounting as well as the improvement of the internal control system
• Taking over and/or participating in internal projects (digitalization, automation)
• Preparation and processing of tax and statistical reports as well as preparation of advance VAT returns

• Training with completed further training as an accountant (m/f/d), alternatively business studies with a focus on accounting or comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in the field of operational accounting, ideally in a manufacturing company
• First experience in a management position
• Practical experience in financial statements and preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS and HGB
• Good knowledge of tax law (corporation tax, VAT)
• Experience in working on internal, cross-departmental projects (digitization, automation, SAP rollouts, etc.)
• Solid user knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and practical experience in S4 Hana
• Structured, independent and conscientious way of working
• High teamwork and communication skills
• Good knowledge of English
