The Manager for Finance and GL is responsible for managing Finance and Accounting activities related to management reports and financial statements. This position ensures that excellent customer service is provided to both internal and external customers. Duties include reviewing financial reports, monitoring GL accounts, budgeting, and project management.

  • Oversee various General Ledger functions of the organization.
  • Manage Balance Sheet reconciliation process of various accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies & procedures, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with the finance team, reviewing month-end GL account reconciliations, reserves and accruals.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end GL close process.
  • Manage, approve, post and follow up with Supervisors, Analysts and other Finance Managers the journal entries necessary during month-end close.
  • Manage the month-end close adjustments including reviewing and analyzing Balance Sheet account’s ending balances.
  • Provide detailed and/or summarized analyses and financial reports to Operations, Department units, Senior Management, affiliates and for regulatory compliance.
  • Manage the budget and the monthly P&L review of multiple cost centers and regions.
  • Evaluate and make recommendations to improve internal processes within the team and with other teams to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
  • Performs other job assignments as specified by the Senior Manager and Director for Finance.
  • At least 7 years of financial and/or accounting experience with a minimum of 5 years supervisory experience
  • At least 2 years of work experience during night shift (US working hours).
  • Service Industry and/or international financial experience a plus
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate expertise with accounting principles and reporting requirements.
  • Must be able to use good judgment, be analytical and have strong decision-making skills.
  • Ability to handle difficult clients, employees and situations.
  • Must be business oriented and have strong knowledge of the operations of a business.
  • Ability to interpret and advise on financial data.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to direct several major projects simultaneously while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to motivate, coach, and direct others.
