We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable process and ensuring timely payments to vendors and suppliers.

  • Oversee the accounts payable department and ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, and vendor payments,
  • Develop and maintain accounts payable policies and procedures as needed and develops procedures to improve existing processes, to include making recommendations and implementing processing efficiencies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, as well as local, state, and federal regulations
  • Monitor and analyze accounts payable processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, sales, operations, treasury, and finance, to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices
  • Manage vendor relationships and resolve any issues or disputes related to payments or invoices
  • Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports, including aging reports, cash flow projections, and vendor performance metrics
  • Train and develop accounts payable staff, including setting performance goals and conducting performance evaluations
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes for accounts payable
  • Assist with audits and provide documentation and support as needed
  • Lead special projects and audits as required by management
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounts payable or related field
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Experience with accounting software and ERP systems – SAP, Taulia, Open Text all a plus
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong Presentation and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Must be a self-starter that is well organized, extremely detail oriented and can work closely with staff members at all levels of the organization in a team-oriented manner
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience in managing a team of accounts payable professionals
  • Experience in process improvement and implementing best practices
  • Ability to analyze financial data and provide insights and recommendations
  • Professional certification such as Certified Accounts Payable Associate (CAPA) or Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) is a plus
