Responsible for profit and loss of commercial group employer segment, individual products and employer solutions throughout VA and FL. Manage Sentara Health Plans’ commercial and employer solutions including pricing/positioning, talent development, sales training, and service efforts to achieve profitable growth and earnings. Manage Sentara Health Plans’ product portfolios with internal constituents focused on simple, seamless, personal and affordable experience for consumers.

  • Double the commercial membership in VA by EOY 2026 (468k)
  • Deliver $55m of EBIDTA improvement in commercial workstream for VA
  • Lead loyalty programs to develop roadmap and value story for customers, brokers, advisory groups, -and business symposiums.
  • Prove our value story with data analytics and reporting
  • Improve the sales teams’ skills and effectiveness
  • Lead AvMed and other acquisitions integration for commercial products
  • Develop performance capabilities and shared services in new markets
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience; Minimum 3 years of sales leadership experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Deep understanding of pricing and the drivers to profitable sales growth
  • Extensive knowledge of health plan structure and operations
  • Underwriting and pricing methodology knowledge
  • Comprehensive understanding of the industry, competitors and disruptors
  • Health plan financial acumen
  • Project and relationship management skills

Qualifications:

  • BLD – Bachelor’s Level Degree (Required)
  • Department of Insurance, Health Insurance License – Certification – North Carolina, Department of Insurance, Health Insurance License – Certification – Other/National, Department of Insurance, Health Insurance License – Certification – Virginia State Corporation Commission
  • Health Plan Financial Acumen, Management, Project Management, Relationship Management, Sales Leadership
