This role involves overseeing lease administration and ensuring the accuracy of lease data. You will be responsible for managing the abstraction of key terms and conditions from new and amended real estate lease contracts while leading a team dedicated to processing rent payments for leased locations.

Collaboration is essential, as you will work directly with Legal, Real Estate, Accounting, and other key stakeholders in a shared services environment. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining lease databases and ensuring that all abstracted information is accurate and up-to-date.

• Manage the abstraction of primary terms and conditions of new and amended real estate lease contracts
• Oversee team functions related to processing rent payments and resolving discrepancies
• Communicate directly with Legal, Real Estate, and Accounting on lease abstractions
• Manage lease databases with abstracted information and approved changes
• Review and reconcile payments
• Respond to sales inquiries and % rent correspondence from landlords, collaborating with Lease Accountants as necessary
• Resolve lease interpretation questions and assess the impact of new lease terms, renewals, relocations, and property ownership changes on the rent payment process.

• BA in Accounting or JD in Law
• 3-5 years of lease administration, abstraction, and lease database experience
• Advanced understanding of lease language and terms with a high degree of data integrity and accuracy
• Prior experience utilizing a lease database
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Intermediate Excel skills
• SAP skills
• Retail industry experience
