We’re on the hunt for a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to join our Corporate team at our Brampton office. The Senior Resource Business Partner serves as a consultant to management providing HR advice, guidance and support to assigned client groups (within corporate and shared services) on a broad range of HR related issues and policies. The incumbent works on a variety of human resources activities including employee relations, training, and talent management. The Sr. HRBP acts as an employee champion and change agent, seeks to develop integrated solutions and formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.

  • Acts as the main point of contact and conducts weekly meetings with respective client groups (corporate and shared services)
  • Consults with line management, providing HR guidance as appropriate.
  • Promotes sound and harmonious employee relations and ensures compliance with the division’s relevant policies and procedures.
  • Supports the business in achieving business goals through appropriate interventions related to employee relations, organizational development and performance management.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
  • Manages and resolves employee relations issues, conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g.: coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provides guidance and input on client group restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Supports in identifying training needs for client groups.
  • Provides support to the TR team on various projects, in particular during roll-outs of various compensation plans and programs.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience
  • Demonstrates sound judgment and effective analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations governing HR practices.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage ambiguity
  • Bachelor degree in Human Resources management from a recognized institution.
  • HR designation is an asset
