  • Develop and execute a comprehensive F&A shared service operations strategy in QIAGEN Manila aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Provide visionary leadership to the operations team, driving continuous improvement, innovation, data integrity, best practices, and cost efficiency of the operations.
  • Position F&A shared service operations as a trusted partner, and manage stakeholders efficiently including business partners and teams across business cycles (O2C, R2R, S2P).
  • Create an efficient organizational structure focusing on core skills for better and faster decision-making, operations, and improvement.
  • Maintain and continuously improve the span of control.
  • Understand alignment needs within QIAGEN Manila (Customer Care, Procurement, Sales Coordination) and outside QIAGEN Manila (Commercial Operations, Local Country & Regional Accounting).
  • Build performance transparency and steer service delivery of the F&A shared service operations based on data, reaching agreed KPIs and productivity targets.
  • Understand the business needs and deliver service based on the requirement.
  • Establish sustainable daily management, problem-solving, and performance management processes.
  • Drive performance improvements in QIAGEN Manila and cross-functionally.
  • Ensure adherence to the SOPs and policies, and improve quality and compliance of the delivered service.
  • Drive quality, user experience, and effectiveness across the organization, end-to-end (E2E), by working with relevant business stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce manual interventions, optimize end-to-end operation.
  • Create a talent hub, understand the upskilling need, develop teams to be true solution partners, develop learning journeys for SMEs in operations, and drive best practice sharing, and knowledge sharing.
  • Effectively communicate the company’s goals, strategies, and performance targets to the operational teams.
  • Be a role model driving a continuous improvement mindset and high-impact culture.
  • Provide an environment for innovation, curiosity, and learning.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Finance, Accounting, and business-related programs.
  • At least 8 years of experience in managing finance and accounting teams in a matrixed environment.
  • A solid understanding of Accounting and Finance processes is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in a shared service industry is a plus.
  • Familiarity with any ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)

  • Ability to independently problem-solve; assess data and information to identify problems and inefficiencies within their department

  • Ability to inspire and guide toward common goals; can motivate teams to achieve the desired outcomes.
  • Ability to navigate culture and politics across multiple functions
  • Ability to work well under pressure; adaptable to change and evolving environments
