• Be the accountable owner for the finance expertise and for driving standardisation and optimisation, to achieve significant process arbitrage across Finance Shared Services.
• Work with the GBS Director and GBS Managers to help develop a high performing Finance Shared Services Team, with a culture of continuous improvement, delivering a great customer experience and driving business process optimisation.
• Actively engage local Finance teams to eliminate regional service variations, driving simplification and automation across the region.
• Lead initiatives to improve the utilisation of the existing finance core systems and develop business cases to identify best practice solutions and overall process automation.
• Work with the Finance Director – Transformation and GBS Director to align the Finance Shared Services activities and resources to the Future Finance priorities.
• Work with the Finance management team to develop a strategy and implementation plan to increase the utilisation of Shared Services in Europe, North America, South America and Japan/SEA.
• Work with the Global Process Owners to develop and rollout core policies which aid a single way of working and improves our controls environment, while ensuring compliance to existing Group standards and policies for own organisation.
• Jointly accountable with GBS Manager, for new finance services being onboarded in a controlled manner, which delivers the benefits identified at the outset, with no negative impact on quality of service or overall performance.
• Support the GBS Manager to deliver high quality and timely service which focuses on the effective provision of services and follows a model of continuous improvement.
• Work with the business to ensure good quality and timeliness of their inputs into Shared Services and the impact it has.
• Member of the Future Finance program, providing thought leadership in defining the target end state for Finance utilizing CFIN/S/4HANA.
• In conjunction with the GBS Finance Team Leaders, enhance the key metrics needed to monitor the performance of Finance Shared Services within the Group and drive towards best practice benchmarks, including reduction in processing costs.
• Accountable for work being undertaken in an ethical manner and supporting the Group’s Code of Ethics.
• Responsible for understanding and agreeing the required budget inputs to achieve improvements.

• Prior experience working as a Head of Finance Shared Services within a multi-national business
• Experience in standardization, optimization and transformation of processes
• Experience of managing and motivating large teams would be beneficial (>50-100 FTEs)
• SAP ECC6/SAP S/4HANA experience preferred
• BSc/BA degree in Finance or an accounting qualification
• Strong influencing skills across a broad spectrum of levels within an organization
• Comfortable in preparing and delivering presentations to a broad audience
• Excellent English language capability, both written and verbal
