The company’s top accounting position in Japan! Many opportunities to collaborate with global companies. As a key member of the APAC accounting team, you will lead accounting and management operations in Japan.
Key Points

- Overseeing compliance with Japanese statutory and regulatory requirements
- Closing process
- Maintaining accounting records
- Reconciliation of vendor, customer and collection information
- Handling Japanese financial/banking requirements, tax returns, transfer pricing, customs audits, etc.
- Check processes, standard operating procedures, internal control functions, etc.
- Automate, streamline and improve reporting, accounting and financial operations processes
- Liaison with financial departments and other internal departments in each country
Required
- Bachelor’s degree (accounting
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA/CA)
- Fluent Japanese and business level or higher English skills
- Experience in finance and accounting (10+ years)
- Work experience of 3 years or more
- Proven track record of achieving results in complex environments
- Experience managing a shared service provider or working in a shared service center
- Knowledge of ERP systems, Blackline, Concur, MediSpend, and workflow tools used in shared service environments
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and SharePoint
- Knowledge of US GAAP
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations in the Asia Pacific region
- Skills to localize policies and procedures for Japan in line with global/regional guidelines
- Emphasis on compliance, ability to address and resolve gaps in internal controls, etc.
Preferred
- Knowledge of project management tools
- Experience at a Big 4 audit firm
- Knowledge of Hyperion reporting and planning tools, SAP
