We are seeking a dynamic and performance-driven Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Operations to lead our revenue cycle initiatives across the organization. This executive will leverage extensive experience in healthcare operations, finance, and revenue cycle management to optimize processes, increase revenue, and decrease expenses while maintaining a strong focus on team engagement and development.

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance revenue cycle operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Engage with executive leadership to define and execute long-term strategies for operational excellence.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and clinical departments, to identify opportunities and validate processes that impact revenue cycle performance.
  • Process Redesign: Lead initiatives to redesign and optimize revenue cycle processes from patient access through collections. Utilize performance indicators and business intelligence solutions to drive continuous improvement.
  • Team Development: Build and mentor a high-performing RCM team by establishing clear metrics, performance indicators, and professional development plans. Promote a culture of accountability and efficiency.
  • Contracting and Payor Strategy: Oversee payor strategy and negotiations with insurance companies to maximize reimbursement rates and streamline facilities’ billing processes.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and regular reporting mechanisms to track performance against industry benchmarks and organizational objectives.
  • Cost Management: Implement cost-take-out strategies and financial planning principles to improve profitability across RCM operations.
  • Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and implement industry best practices in revenue cycle management, including pre-bill and retrospective audits.
  • Change Management: Drive change management and process improvement initiatives across the organization, adapting to evolving industry trends and technologies.

  • Multi-shore Shared Services Model: Capable of implementing shared services models to enhance efficiency across multiple locations.
  • Cash Acceleration: Expertise in cash management strategies to optimize revenue collection.
  • Cost Transformation Profitability: Ability to identify and implement cost transformation initiatives to enhance profitability.
  • Change Management/Process Improvement: Proven track record of leading change management initiatives that improve organizational processes.
  • Financial Planning/Budget: Skilled in financial analysis, planning, and budgeting processes to support organizational goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in revenue cycle management within the healthcare industry, with a strong background in operations and strategy.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and operational efficiencies in complex healthcare environments.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with an ability to inspire, motivate, and develop teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in utilizing data to inform decision-making and drive process improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging diverse stakeholders effectively.
