We are looking for a Finance director & Head of our Global Shared Service Center, who can be part of our amazing growth journey of building up the function almost from scratch. Therefore, we are seeking a leader adept at transformation and operational efficiency.

Both the Finance function of EGDK India Pvt. as well as the Shared Service Capability Center function is still under establishment and currently holds approximately 35 employees, but we expect to grow rapidly to over 100 employees as we expect our subsidiary to grow from currently 600 employees to 1.000 employees within the next year.

Therefore, we are seeking an experienced leader with 8+ years of relevant experience in GBS/SSC and Finance and Accounting, with 5+ years of leadership and people management to be part of our growth story.

The position has two main responsibilities:

  • As the Finance Director you will be responsible for all aspects of Finance for our subsidiary EGDK India Pvt. including the Accounting, Payroll, Audit process, Annual Account and monthly financial reporting to the EG Group.
  • As Head of our Global Shared Service Center, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient operation of the Shared Service Function including a comprehensive range of finance and accounting services to support EG’s global operations such as: PtP, OtC, RtR, FP&A and Finance Business Partnering.

Initially, you will report to the Nordic Director of Projects and Transformation who will be responsible for overseeing the establishment and management of the function, ensuring a smooth transition and alignment with EG’s standards. Over time, this responsibility will be handed over to the right candidate, who will continue to drive the financial and operational excellence of the SSC and the Finance function of the subsidiary.

As part of the Management Team, you will participate in all aspects of the management and establishment of the Global SSC Function in India, and you will be providing valuable insights and financial advice to local management in India. Your roles and responsibilities will change over time as we progress but some of the main responsibilities will be:

  • Serve as the local CFO of EGDK India Pvt.
  • Month-end closing and management reporting.
  • Overall performance management and financial responsibility.
  • Project Management on the establishment of the Global SSC function.
  • Lead transition activities, supporting the migration of finance processes.
  • Project Management of various cross-organizational Financial Projects, such as establishment of performance Management framework and KPI measurements.
  • Ensure overall Service Delivery according to agreed SLAs and KPIs​.
  • Devise and execute a recruitment strategy, building a robust management team for the SSC India.
  • Foster team development, prioritizing staffing, integration, feedback, and culture building.

The right candidate has years of experience within Financial Management and people management and some of the competencies that we are looking for are:

  • Understanding and aligning with strategic development, business priorities and setting direction that harmonizes with our goals.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing budget, costs and performance metrics to ensure the SSC India operates within financial targets.
  • Proven track record of leading high-performance teams and creating an environment that promotes growth and engagement.
  • Proven ability in managing and controlling service delivery to meet and exceed service level agreement and customer expectations.
  • A commitment to Continuous Improvement with focus on efficiency and quality improvement.
  • Adept at fostering strong internal and external relationships, promoting collaboration across functions and with partners to achieve business objectives.
  • Experience in effectively planning, organizing, and directing the workforce to meet the strategic needs and operational goals.
  • Encouraging teamwork and collaboration, enabling the workforce to contribute to their full potential through empowerment and supportive leadership.
  • Ensures strong governance and integrity, maintaining high compliance and ethical standards. Additionally, includes experience working with European organizations and possessing an international outlook/mindset.

To be considered as a candidate you must have: 

  • Master’s degree in Business, Finance, or related fields.
  • Experience in process transformation and establishing GBS organizations.
  • Experience with Nordic and US companies and cultures.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, fluent in English.
  • Residing in Mangalore, or open to relocation.
