One of the world’s largest global asset management firms, managing over $700 billion in assets is seeking a Manager of Finance to join their corporate team. The role will oversee monthly and quarterly financial close processes, manage daily accounting operations, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement improvements. This role also provides opportunities for leadership and mentoring within the finance team.
- Lead monthly financial close cycles and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Ensure effective execution of accounting processes and maintain robust documentation of internal control reviews.
- Review daily journal entries and oversee period-end accruals.
- Manage and maintain the accuracy of loan databases, interest calculations, and timely settlements.
- Oversee shared service functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, expense reimbursements, and tax filings.
- Address complex technical accounting matters in coordination with other departments.
- Manage consolidation and reporting of financial results for corporate statutory entities to meet regulatory and internal requirements.
- Respond to inquiries from business and finance teams across various departments.
- Provide training, mentorship, and development opportunities for direct reports.
- Support internal and external audits for reporting processes.
- Identify and implement efficiencies in processes, tools, and reporting frameworks.
- Lead special projects as assigned.
- BA/BS Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience including at least 2 years industry experience.
- Familiarity with IFRS public company reporting requirements.
- Knowledge of financial systems (Excel, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).
- CPA or CA required.
