The HR Operations Sr. Manager has oversight for multiple HR process areas within Talent Services (TS) for Deloitte America´s Nearshore Mexico. Primary responsibilities include management and leadership of Employee Lifecycle Events (ELE) shared service processes, as well as the team of professionals who support these processes for the Mexico and Costa Rica geographies. As part of the Talent management team, the role is responsible for liaising across other parts of Talent and collaborating with other Enabling Area teams to ensure optimal process solutions in support of business objectives.

  • Creates, builds and implements effective, efficient, and consistent processes within ELE. Responsible for process efficiencies, leveraging process and technology improvements
  • Works with ELE Managers and staff to resolve complex issues within the team and make final decisions related to these issues
  • Works across all TS teams to serve as Talent Champion assisting with team and culture building and integrated talent solutions, as needed
  • Fosters and maintains positive relationships within Talent Organization and Enabling Areas, serving as an interface between internal and external customers and functional team members to ensure effective delivery of Talent Services processes
  • Interfaces with business leadership to educate and resolve HR escalations and has a strong ability to troubleshoot and implement solutions to ensure consistent quality of service delivery
  • Manages, mentors and develops direct reports, team and quality of work (e.g., provide one-on-one coaching and counseling and identify career / professional development opportunities for team members). Creates cross-skilling opportunities for ELE team members
  • Analyzes operational performance against established metrics, accountable for the quality and integrity of data maintained by the ELE teams
  • Analyzes data and trends to identify opportunities for process and technology improvements while striving to optimize efficiency and quality
  • Collaborates with US ELE counterparts to ensure alignment of priorities and leverage best practices between US and Mexico teams
  • Serves as point of escalation resolution for team through troubleshooting and implementing solutions
  • Advocates for and participates in continuous improvement projects
  • Supports US ELE HR Leader with ongoing projects and initiatives

A successful candidate will possess:

  • Demonstrated and proven ability to build strong relationships with both business and HR stakeholders; strong executive presence and experience interacting with senior leaders
  • Significant experience leading and collaborating effectively across teams, including virtual environments
  • Excellent organizational, planning and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to drive change forward in a complex environment, demonstrating flexibility and agility, while also motivating a team to deliver results in a timely manner
  • Ability to manage complex projects and set direction with virtual teams, providing positive guidance and support to the team
  • Strong ability to manipulate and analyze data
  • Structured strategic thinking and ability to prioritize
  • High degree of professionalism and integrity and ability to work in a highly confidential environment

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business discipline
  • Strong English oral and written communication skills
  • 10+ years HR experience
  • Knowledge of Mexico and Costa Rica employment laws, HR compliance requirements
  • Knowledge of the Talent Management lifecycle (hire to retire)
  • Knowledge of shared services environment
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Experience with Human Resources Information systems and related processes (DayForce, SuccessFactors, etc.).
