The Director of Global Payroll will oversee the development and management of a centralized payroll shared services model. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality, compliant, efficient service delivery to employees and for implementing standardized payroll processes and policies across the organization. The Director of Global Payroll will play a critical role in enhancing employee experience and operational efficiency for optimal payroll accuracy.

Payroll Shared Services Management:

  • Develop and manage a centralized payroll shared services model that delivers high-quality, efficient services to employees.
  • Oversee daily operations of the payroll shared services team to ensure consistent, timely, and accurate service delivery.
  • Implement and maintain standardized payroll processes and policies to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization.
  • Define strategy for payroll audit and controls and direct team to implement those strategies to ensure compliance with SOX controls and enhanced payrolls controls.

Service Delivery and Employee Experience:

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and employee satisfaction.
  • Implement technologies and process improvements that streamline payroll operations and improve the overall employee experience.
  • Monitor and evaluate service delivery metrics to ensure high standards are maintained.

Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with HR leaders, HR Operations, Accounting, Finance, Audit and other departments to ensure alignment and integration of payroll shared services with broader organizational goals.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders to support the payroll shared services function.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, coach, and develop the payroll shared services team to ensure high performance and continuous professional growth.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment that encourages innovation and excellence.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, finance, accounting or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in payroll operations, shared services, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in developing and managing payroll shared services in a large, complex organization.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes, policies, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with HR technologies and process improvements.
