The Operating Models & Organizational Design Strategy Senior Manager will lead and drive strategic projects, collaborating closely with C-level executives to design organizations and implement operating models that align business operations with the company’s strategic goals. This role requires extensive knowledge in operating model strategy and the capability to lead organizational transformation using data-driven insights. Additionally, the Senior Manager will identify and support commercial opportunities, leveraging industry knowledge and client needs to support growth objectives.
- Operating Model Design: Design and implement business and functional operating models that meet client growth and C-suite objectives. Integrate forward-thinking concepts such as human + machine partnerships, analytics, and integrated ecosystems.
- Organizational Design: Define and structure the organization to execute against business strategy and operating model ambitions. Work across various functions including sales, marketing, product development, finance, HR, IT, and supply chain to design the right target state operating model.
- Share Services Centers Design: Lead the design, optimization, and relocation of shared services centers to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and align with the global business strategy. Evaluate potential locations, considering factors such as talent availability, cost, and risk.
- Strategic Advisory: Advise senior executives on data-driven strategies to transform their business operations or models to achieve strategic, financial, and operational goals. Provide insights and recommendations using advanced analytical tools and methodologies.
- Financial Business Cases: Develop robust financial business cases that track value across both growth and cost savings, tying benefits back to the P&L. Define execution roadmaps and dependencies to prioritize and implement initiatives.
- Client Collaboration: Partner with clients to implement target operating models and achieve desired growth and cost-saving objectives. Lead the execution of complex projects with a focus on delivering business outcomes.
- Team Leadership: Lead teams with a people-first mindset that fosters inclusivity and celebrates diversity. Mentor junior team members, providing them with opportunities to learn and grow within the organization.
- Commercial Opportunity Identification: Proactively identify and assess commercial opportunities by analyzing market trends, industry developments, and evolving client needs. Collaborate with client account teams to align strategic initiatives with business goals, leveraging insights to drive revenue growth and meet or exceed established targets. Lead efforts to create tailored solutions that address key client challenges, ensuring sustainable growth and competitive advantage.
Experience
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in operating model strategy with specific expertise in areas such as enterprise operating models, functional operating model strategy, zero-based organization, and shared services.
- Prior experience in a consulting firm is highly desirable.
Technical Skills
- At least 3 years of experience in driving insights and recommendations through analytics and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx).
- Familiarity with digital disruptors and capabilities impacting enterprise and functional operating models.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent graduate degree is a plus.
Additional Qualifications
- Experience with strategic cost reduction, zero-based solutions and organizations, and digital transformation (e.g., robotic process automation, AI, machine learning, Agile methodologies).
