The Retail Pricing team prices everything shipped and sold by Amazon, worldwide, and cross-format. Our goal is to earn long term customer trust by offering the best prices to customers, across hundreds of millions of prices everyday. In this role, you will seamlessly transition from being the enterprising leader securing organizational alignment on strategic initiatives to delivering new high-performance, fault-tolerant capabilities that improve our prices without human intervention.
This role is critical to ensuring the success of Retail Pricing features supporting millions of customers in their shopping missions as well as a significant portion of Amazon’s revenue. A successful candidate will bring deep product management, technical expertise, and strong business judgment, to help us execute effectively on the complex roadmaps. In this role, you will need to manage cross-functional communication, identify & mitigate risks to efficient delivery, decompose ambiguous problems into workable plans, and to lead execution across multiple product, science, and engineering teams.
This is a highly visible position. You must have the experience and capability to prepare documentation for senior executives and align your roadmap with Amazon’s strategic objectives. Excellent written, verbal communication and data analytical skills are a necessity. Successful candidates should thrive in a highly collaborative, creative, analytical, and fast-paced environment oriented around delivering better prices to customers worldwide.
A day in the life
On a typical day, you will talk to several customers, define and prioritize the roadmap, deep dive to root cause a customer issue, release the latest new feature, define and report business metrics, discuss radical new approaches to building and operating at scale.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 10+ years of end to end product delivery experience
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement
- Experience as a strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly and effectively influence across cross-functional teams
- Experience working with Science and Engineering teams building and supporting product features leveraging ML models
