The Finance Director will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations and strategies of the organization, ensuring financial health, compliance, and alignment with business goals. This position will lead the finance team, manage financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, tax compliance, and auditing functions. The Finance Director will collaborate with the executive team, supporting key decision-making processes and ensuring financial strategies are implemented effectively across the organization.
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for the organization.
- Present financial results and key insights to senior leadership, including the CEO, CFO, and Finance Committee.
- Lead the development of the company’s annual budget and forecast, working closely with department heads to ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
- Manage periodic budget reviews, ensuring variance analysis and providing recommendations to improve financial performance.
- Establish and enforce robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
- Ensure adherence to international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and other regulatory requirements.
- Oversee tax planning and compliance for the organization, ensuring all tax filings are completed accurately and on time.
- Stay up to date with tax law changes and ensure the company’s tax strategy is in line with regulatory requirements.
- Manage the external audit process, acting as the primary point of contact for auditors and ensuring timely and smooth audit completion.
- Support the preparation of audited financial statements and other financial reports for stakeholders.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to ensure the company’s financial stability.
- Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate those risks effectively.
- Collaborate with the executive team to develop financial strategies that support business growth, sustainability, and long-term goals.
- Provide strategic financial advice to the leadership team to support decision-making.
- Oversee investment strategies and ensure they align with the organization’s financial goals and policies.
- Monitor investment performance and advise on adjustments based on market conditions.
