Reporting to the Vice President, Business Partnership & Labour Relations, the Director leads People Services, including our HR Advisory and AskHR (Contact Centre) teams. Working alongside peers in Business Partnership, the Director serves on a leadership team accountable for delivering positive end-to-end employee experiences in HR’s operating model. - Knowledge Management: Ensures governance is established to enable and sustain effective self-service resources for employees and clients.
- Case Management: Leverages enabling technology to provide barrier free access to HR through a case management process that resolves inquiries with the fewest handoffs possible.
- Leadership: Leads a large team who deliver the tools, resources, and coaching necessary to enable our employees and clients. You foster an inclusive work environment; embrace LCBO vision, values, competencies, and strategies; establish clear direction, accountabilities, and goals for your team; and measure results to drive continuous improvement.
- Labour & Employee Relations: Nearly 90% of LCBO’s workforce is unionized, which means the ability to build constructive labour relations, navigate unionized environments, and serve our employees and clients in a way that respects collective agreement obligations is a must.
- Operational Excellence: Creates and sustains a culture of innovation and drives continuous improvement by leveraging data and reporting. Forecasts and plans necessary levels of support to meet employee and client needs.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in HR, Business, Industrial Relations, Organizational Development, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive and relevant HR experience.
- Experience in a shared service environment.

- Connects the dots by understanding our business, the industry, and external factors that impact results.
