The Deputy Director will be required to contribute to the optimization and automation of the department’s processes. The Deputy Director will also be responsible for providing and maintaining these services to our clients.
- Ensure team management, training and performance management in relation to the achievement of objectives;
- Supervise and contribute to all stages of the complete payroll cycle according to established schedules;
- Ensure the implementation and implementation of payroll administrative processes;
- Ensure that all tickets passing through the case management system meet all service levels.;
- Support the department with regard to group insurance and pension funds, where applicable;
- Provide advice and expertise to promote optimal management of payroll and the HR shared services center;
- Analyze and improve processes to increase team efficiency;
- Intervene with suppliers for any questions, configuration or modification of data and parameters of these systems;
- Plan and coordinate the department’s annual activities and processes in a multi-company and multi-site context;
- Work with IT and HR Systems Support to ensure the best available technology is used;
- Ensure that operational accuracy and efficiency are in place and maintained;
- Manage the production of required reports and prepare analyses;
- Ensure compliance of all payroll-related aspects in accordance with provincial and federal legislation;
- Any other related task assigned to him.
- At least 8 years of experience in automated management of a complete payroll cycle with a team of payroll and human resources professionals;
- Mastery of a computerized payroll processing system (Employer D, Workday are strong assets);
- Having contributed to the implementation and automation of certain functions of computerized payroll processing;
- Have worked in a company with a high volume of weekly payrolls (more than 3000);
- Familiar with human capital management and payroll system implementations;
- Knowledge and experience of a shared services model in human resources;
- Experience in an HR call center;
- Fluency in French and English is mandatory due to regular communications with English-speaking colleagues and suppliers;
- Member of the National Payroll Institute;
- Academic training in a relevant discipline (accounting, administration);
- Leadership in change management;
- Influence and good management of interpersonal relationships;
- Mobilizing leadership, rigor, global vision, teamwork, good stress management, sense of customer service, sense of organization.
