Role reporting directly into Singapore & Malaysia Cluster Finance Director, based in Singapore. Manage a team of share services resources.

  • Role reporting directly into Singapore & Malaysia Cluster Finance Director, based in Singapore. Manage a team of share services resources.
  • Lead monthly closing and result publication to the Group through reporting tool (SAP, Teranga, etc), focusing on quarterly and year-end activities.
  • Prepare Monthly Management Review, including variance analysis.
  • Plan, Coordinate, Consolidate and Submit Forecasts & Budgets.
  • Provide leadership and leverage on the accounting shared service on Order to Cash, Procure to Pay and General Ledger activities.
  • Ownership of balance sheet reviews and account reconciliation.
  • Monitor constantly the evolution of the KPIs (cash, sales, expenses) & provide related analysis in case of evolution, including supporting Functions in controlling their costs.
  • Ownership of Internal Control process and ensuring compliance to financial and statutory rules when executing all tasks.
  • Supervise the overall Audit process to ensure timeline completion, both statutory and Internal Audit.
  • Partner with Tax to ensure compliance to Tax obligations and timeline adherence to external local and internal tax reporting.
  • In coordination with Alstom Finance Shared Services (Global Finance Center), streamline accounting processes by defining a dashboard to monitor the overall accounting performance through KPIs.
  • Seek synergies and support central automation initiatives across accounting and reporting processes

Performance measurement through:

  • Capacity to produce comprehensive & accurate financial information.
  • On-time deliverables.
  • Provision of sound KPI analysis.
  • Audit closure on time as per Group guidelines.
  • Tax submissions / requirements met on time.
  • Accounting dashboard implementation & KPIs improvement.
  • Clarity and relevance of presentation and recommendation to management.
  • Process improvement implementation.

Requirements

  • A recognized degree in Accountancy, Finance or equivalent.
  • Chartered Accountancy/ equivalent professional qualification preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years’ relevant working experience in Controllership, Financial Analysis and reporting.
  • Team management experience appreciated, especially shared services and remote teams.
  • Experience and proficient in using SAP, Hyperion, Teranga or similar systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Possess strong critical and clear thinking, analytical skills and an eye for detail.
  • Resourceful and ability to problem solve independently, with business stakeholders partnership.
  • Experienced in working with large European multinational organization with highly matrixed and high paced environment with tight timelines.
  • Clear and concise verbal communication with the ability to flex style to interact, communicate and relate to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Ability to be steadfast, consistent and impartial to drive a compliant win-win solution.
  • Team player, mature and resilient professional who can work independently.
