The Senior Director, Human Resources Business Partner will focus on driving a best-in-class employee experience at Momentum (www.momentum.com). This role will be supporting the platform services team that provides support to each of the portfolio companies.
The successful candidate will be an experienced and highly driven HR generalist or HR business partner that is looking for a strategic role in a high growth, dynamic environment. As part of the Momentum Shared Services team, this individual will lead onboarding integration, collaborate on M&A activities, and work with HR business partners across Momentum platform companies. They will drive the integration and development of hired and acquired talent as our dynamic business continues to grow through both organic and inorganic means (i.e. M&A). This individual will have the agility to develop their own programs and processes, but should possess the acumen and the ability to tap into existing programs and resources available across the portfolio of firms. To do this successfully will not only require a broad knowledge base within talent/HR but also strong relationship/networking skills to navigate a fast-growing org.
Specific, key areas of focus for this individual will be:
- Collaboration with Momentum managers to successfully onboard new hires into the Momentum platform
- Providing counsel and support to managers regarding employee development, engagement and performance
- Supporting the HR due diligence process during M&A activity
- Helping drive the integration plans for newly acquired firms to ensure the best possible employee experience and business outcomes
- Identifying opportunities to drive consistency and efficiency across companies, policies, processes, and tools
- Support recruiting efforts for Momentum leadership team by both third party and direct sourcing
- Work closely with leaders in the implementation of policies, initiatives, and projects related to HR/People Operations, organizational, and employee development
- Oversee general process management for onboarding/offboarding, and assist with ensuring compliance with state and federal laws as required.
- Responsible for managing the strategy, execution, and analysis of Employee Surveys such as Engagement, Manager Effectiveness, DE&I, Integration (post M&A), Onboarding, and more.
- Partners with leadership and Shared Services to analyze employee/headcount trends, provide readouts and insights, and help produce quarterly/annual forecasts
- Provide counsel and support to managers regarding employee development, engagement, and performance
- Build highly collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders (executives, managers, and employees) and establish yourself as a credible, “go to” expert in talent/HR matters
- Support the HR due diligence process during M&A activity including leading specific diligence workstreams
- Help drive the integration plans for newly acquired firms to ensure the best possible employee experience and business outcomes
- Identify opportunities to drive consistency and efficiency across companies in policies, processes and tools through collaboration with local HR teams
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources or related field
- 10+ years of professional experience with recent broad HR experience including at least 4+ years in an HR Generalist or HRBP position
- Experience working in a Professional Services or Technology firm
- Consultative experience in a corporate environment working closely with leadership, employees, and the business
- Experience across the full spectrum of HR, with particular emphasis on; employee onboarding/integration, employee relations, performance management; HR process and administration policy and compliance
- Organized, self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Analytical with experience using Excel and comfortable leveraging data to make decisions
- Excellent attention-to-detail
- Problem-solving mentality, enjoys learning new things and stretching themselves
- Experience with HR & M&A preferred (diligence and or integration)
- SHRM HRCI certification preferred
