About the team

The Platform Engineering team is dedicated to evolving both our products and our modes of customer engagement for the dynamic financial services landscape. Our platform vision is enabling a connected FIS. The full breadth of our offering is unlocked for Institutions, Merchants, eCommerce, FinTech’s and Innovators – powered by platform capabilities built on the latest technologies and design patterns. The team works closely with business, product, and operation teams to accelerate our platform journey. We are looking for hands-on leaders that can drive innovation while implementing industry leading platform capabilities.

• Manage the design and delivery of world class shared service for FIS Platform including designing and managing environments (development, testing and production), fully automated CI/CD pipelines, software testing, database design and administration as well as technical documentation
• Manage a team of Dev Ops/SREs, Quality Engineers, Database Administrators and, Technical Writers
• Design and manage all Platform development environments, sandboxes, fully automated CI/CD pipeline as well as SIT, UAT and production environments
• Manage client onboarding, partner integration & operations, ensuing all applicable FIS and Platform standards and expectations are met
• Provide comprehensive reporting & dashboards on Platform performance by capability (Availability, Throughput, Latency etc.)
• Ensure Platform quality by developing and running functional, performance and security tests. Ensure tests are automated to enable fully automated CI/CD as well as ensure adequate test coverage
• Manage SIT and UAT including testing with partners and clients
• Models databases and develops tables, stored procedures, views, triggers and other database objects
• Manage development of comprehensive documentation for platform capabilities including APIs and developer experience
• Creates and maintains strong internal and external partnerships to drive the platform agenda
• Identifies and recommends opportunities for improving architecture, internal tooling, sandbox, SDLC and other capabilities
• Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
• Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
• Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise
• Collaborates closely with multiple parties from across FIS, its partners, and clients

• Hands-on software development experience and substantial experience leading shared services teams
• Significant knowledge of software development and delivery pipelines, software testing, databases and technical documentation. Deep experience with setting up and operating fully automated CI/CD pipelines and service delivery in a single instance, multi-tenant, high throughput, low latency and highly available environment
• Experience with Kubernetes and Dockers for deployments in development, QA, and Production
• Experience with agile and scrum methodologies and DevOps environments with high degree of automation of CI/CD pipelines, build promotions and code quality testing
• Experience setting up and operating development, test and production environments that are capable of delivering robust analytics and rapid root cause analysis
• Financial modelling and understanding of IT Finance and ITIL
• Skilled in leading, supervising and managing effectively under pressure
• Ability to be comfortable interacting with executive level FIS stakeholder and/or clients
• Ability to maintain positive working relationship with FIS stakeholder and/or client
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives, activities and problem areas
• Experience in at least two of the following: Azure Cloud, AWS Cloud, Google Cloud
• Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to present to all levels of the organization

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience. Post-graduate education preferred
