The Accounting Controlling team sit within Record to report (“R2R”) and are part of the wider Business Services Unit that provides Finance, Accounting and Controlling services.

This role leads the team of Accounting Controllers and Assistant Accounting Controllers through month-end delivery, process improvement, financial control and quarter and year-end close, while providing a leadership role to the business, through effective communication and demonstrating a willingness to instil a culture of personal responsibility and Lowell as a great place to work.

• Developing the shared service strategy and target operating model
• Driving end to end process improvement.
• Leading the relationship with the Regional Finance Business Partner teams,
• Driving development and improvement of financial control framework
• Leading the Regional Controllers to ensure that group costs and regional P&L’s are presented accurately in accordance with Group strategy and organisation.
• Working closely with Management Accountants to understand the numbers in the P&L and Balance Sheet and challenge the appropriateness of transactions posted and adjustments made.
  • Understanding the intercompany recharge processes, and other complex group/regional processes to ensure accounting compliance and accurate reporting.

• Professional qualification in Finance/Auditing/Accounting
• Extensive experience in financial control at a senior leadership level
• Experience leading large teams within a complex Shared Services environment
• Strong technical acumen and experience of IFRS accounting and reporting
• Capable of identifying improvements and driving them through to delivery; a natural, proactive problem solver
• Technical skills in reporting and analytical software
