Want to use your leadership and operational excellence skills to help the company deliver on their key strategic goals and initiatives to enable acceleration of Walmart US growth? The Senior Director II, Operations is responsible for operating critical functions at scale.  Functions include but are not limited to Merchandise Payables, Imports Payables, Transportation Payables, Inventory COE, Payments, Supplier Contact Center.  This leader will drive a mindset of continuous improvement and customer service to support the ease of the experience and operational effectiveness.

Reporting to the Vice President of EBS Finance Services, you’ll lead the finance operations for Walmart US, Sam’s Club, and Canada.

  • Increase operational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Anticipate key trends, opportunities, and vulnerabilities, and partner with Tech partners to ensure that systems are stable.
  • Experience with S4 Hana implementations
  • Oversees the successful execution of SOX Controls
  • Building Relationships – Maximize relationships areas to collaborate on choices, expediate business decisions, and quickly action when needed.
  • Talent and Leadership – Develop and implement strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce by diagnosing capability gaps; recruiting, selecting, and developing talent; supporting mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning; and leveraging the capabilities of new and existing talent.
  • Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 15+ year of progressive accounting experience with significant experience leading Shared Services Operations
  • MBA highly preferred
  • 10+ years of experience leading and completing cross-functional projects.
  • Experience working in a large, complex, matrixed organization.
  • Comfort with ambiguity
