The Senior Manager, Human Resources Shared Services, APAC EMEA will be responsible for executing the HR Operations strategy in the APAC and EMEA region. This role involves overseeing the delivery of HR Operations services and solutions by guiding the HR Shared Services Center (SSC) team leads, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing change initiatives. The Sr. Manager ensures global consistency and efficiency in HR operations while partnering with the Director of GSS HR Operations and regional Controllers to align HR strategies with business needs. Adherence to service level agreements (SLAs), monitoring performance, and driving continuous improvement are key responsibilities of this role. The Sr. Manager will also manage projects, support employee career development, and stay updated on emerging trends in HR shared services.

  • Lead APAC & EMEA HR SSC: Oversee the end-to-end delivery of HR operational services assigned to the regional center in Kuala Lumpur
  • Develop HR Operations Strategy: Collaborate with the Director of GSS HR Operations and regional Controllers to evolve HR Operations strategies aligned with the business, work, workforce, and workplaces at Ingredion
  • Monitor SLAs and Reporting: Ensure adherence to SLAs, produce and review reports on performance, and identify and track any administration or performance issues. Escalate issues as necessary for timely resolution
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Foster a customer-focused culture of continuous improvement within the HR SSC. Collaborate with other operations management areas to identify process and service quality improvement opportunities.
  • Research and Emerging Trends: Conduct research to stay informed about emerging trends in HR shared services and recommend relevant changes or enhancements
  • Project Management: Manage projects from end to end, ensuring their successful completion
  • Employee Development: Support the career development of employees in the Kuala Lumpur HR SSC. Assess training needs, coach for performance improvement, and facilitate job rotations to deepen employees’ understanding of HR Operations processes
Mandatory requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree with prior experience in a leadership role in shared services environment. Degree in HR or Process Engineering strongly preferre
  • HR Expertise: Exhibit a robust background in HR functions, including a minimum of 10 years of diverse HR experience with at least five years in a supervisory capacity. Demonstrate proficiency in HR technical skills and maintain a high level of operational excellence.
  • Must be knowledgeable about HR Processes in Shared Services environment
  • Customer Management: Experience in managing customer relationships and maintaining customer focus and satisfaction
  • Team Management: Ability to lead and coach large, diverse, and multicultural teams with a strong team focus and desire to achieve results.Project Management Skills : Leads multiple multi-faceted projects and monitors execution. Has ability to identify and manage potential derailers.
  • HR Transformation : Ability to transform strategic goals into tactical project plans, including ability to track within defined timelines
  • HRIS and Data Management: Strong background in HRIS and data management, preferably with experience in systems like Workday, ServiceNow, and Payroll systems like ADP and TRESS
  • Language Skills & Proficiency: Must have expert proficiency in English
  • Willing to travel if and when required (~15% of time)
Desirable requirements:
  • Medium proficiency in both Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin
  • Experience managing people in different geographical location.
  • Internal Controls: for financial reporting, which meet U.S. Sarbanes-Oxley requirements (“SOX”)
