- Lead and supervise a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to maximize individual and team productivity and development
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the finance shared services center, ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial services and support to internal stakeholders
- Develop and implement standardized finance processes, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations
- Continuously improve and streamline finance operations, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and automation initiatives, leveraging technology and digital tools to optimize finance operations
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the performance of the shared services center, identify trends, and implement corrective actions as needed
- Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, providing timely and accurate financial information, responding to inquiries, and addressing concerns
- Ensure the timely and accurate completion of financial processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, financial reporting, and other related activities
- Stay up to date with industry best practices, emerging trends, and technological advancements in finance shared services, and proactively incorporate relevant changes into the operations
- Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits and assist in the resolution of audit findings and recommendations
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred
- Proven experience (10+ years) in a similar leadership role within a finance shared services center or a similar finance function
- In-depth knowledge of finance processes, systems, and best practices, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, financial reporting, and financial controls
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team, driving a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of identifying process improvement opportunities and implementing effective solutions
- Advanced proficiency in financial systems and technology, including enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and financial reporting tools
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to finance operations
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality outcomes
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment, demonstrating resilience and flexibility
