We are looking for a Head of the Accounting Department to lead the organization’s accounting function, making a strong contribution and demonstrating leadership in the implementation of the new SAP system.
- Oversee all accounting activities, establish processes and policies, build a best-in-class accounting strategy and structure, and create business partnerships with stakeholders.
- Ensure effective internal controls while ensuring that all accounting initiatives comply with business and legal requirements.
- Drive the implementation and optimization of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and other automation tools, continuously enhancing the department’s technological capabilities.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings, driving efficiency and effectiveness in accounting operations.
- Manage the accounting department and provide leadership to a team of 100+ individuals, fostering a positive and high-performing work environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- 10 years of experience in accounting, including 5+ years of experience managing and leading a sizeable team of professionals.
- Demonstrated experience in the successful implementation of financial shared service operations would be considered as an advantage.
- Broad understanding of interaction between Financial organisation and the business units.
- Good understanding of ERP Accounting Systems (SAP), as well as of enabling Infrastructure (vendor invoice management, etc.).
- Analytical mindset with solution and development-oriented problem-solving skills.
- Experience and knowledge in Lean and standardization.
- Ability to work in cross-cultural organization, excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills (both written and oral).
- Fluent Lithuanian and English (at least B2 level).
- Knowledge and practice in IFRS and Accounting qualifications will be (CA, CPA, ACCA) considered as an advantage.
