We are seeking a Director of IT Shared Services who will be responsible for our Digital and Shared Services strategy, implementation, and support. They will be a strategic partner to the other IT Directors and Business stakeholders and a critical contributor to overall application, data and integration disciplines at Goddard. The role interfaces with internal and external technology partners, business stakeholders to deliver scalable, relevant and dynamic solutions to support Goddard brand and services across the franchisee and franchisors system.

As a Director of IT Shared Services, the successful candidate will be responsible for strategic direction in leading, managing, and coordinating business process reengineering, requirements management, software and systems quality assurance, service delivery, application monitoring, site reliability, process automation and agile delivery practices across the heterogeneous technology and platforms with varying resource models. Individual provides leadership and drive planning and implementing strategies for DevSecOps practice for the new and existing enterprise applications in .NET, Java and other languages. This role is additionally responsible for the support of Goddard application portfolio from incident response and site reliability engineering efforts involving various technologies, platforms, middleware, databases, reporting engines, SaaS solutions, Data warehouse and Data Lake in Azure cloud environment.

  • Provide leadership for the Shared Services team regarding vision, mission, scope, issue resolution, priorities, and the DeSecOps practice standards and automation
  • Develop team members through mentoring and coach where needed to help build new and improved skill sets supporting the technology components and platforms
  • Responsible for managing requirements, estimating, planning and executing the projects and deliverables across multiple technologies, applications and data initiatives
  • Facilitate agile team’s delivery with high degree of focus on communication, quality and timeliness.
  • Collaborate on overall delivery & manage support process across multiple initiatives to ensure sustainable DevOps practice. This includes Systems Requirements, quality management, automated testing, documentation and systems resiliency including optimizations, sensing and performance management of large enterprise scale applications and solutions.
  • Collaborate with teams to improve process, tools, quality metrics, and delivery methodologies to gain delivery and support efficiencies
  • Collaborate with technical stakeholders, Infrastructure, Security, Operations, AppDev, Data teams and business owners to resolve and identify the root cause of product defects and/or usability concerns and incidents
  • Manage issues and Communicate the status of deliverables and support issues to key stake holders
  • Responsible for the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the Support efforts across the Application portfolio
  • Ensure technical documentation and systems are in agreement
  • BS in Computer Science with professional work experience in software development, delivery and support
  • A minimum of 10 years cumulative experience providing leadership in managing enterprise-class software delivery and Support with 5 plus years’ experience executing application delivery and support strategies, enterprise solution support, performance management, systems architecture and system optimizations.
  • A strong technical background with in-depth experience designing , developing and deploying applications and run-time software, components, infrastructure for enterprise-class applications
  • A strong application and systems architecture experience and practice
  • A strong technical background in .NET development platforms, Integration and Data platforms and run-time engines for these technologies
  • A strong competency and experience in creating business process mapping, business impact analysis, IT shared services enablement.
  • Experience creating and executing comprehensive process and support plans for enterprise class applications across varying operating and resource models.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and maintaining enterprise-class applications, services across the organization business functions.
  • Extensive background in CMMI, ITIL, ITSM, Service Operations and Agile software delivery and support methodologies
  • 5+ years’ experience in deploying and supporting web applications using N-tier architecture

Leadership Skills:

  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in direct supervisory role of a team of teams
  • Must have experience in hiring and performance evaluation of technical staff
  • Ability to guide, measure, manage, mentor and motivate team
  • Demonstrated ability to handle/organize multiple complex technical projects simultaneously without compromising the quality of work or the final product
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated team player to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment who thrives on challenging problems, and also adapt to the changing technology landscape
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills, capable of working both independently as well as part of a team contributing higher value to the organization
  • Experience initiating, planning, documenting, developing, and rolling out projects on time and on budget
  • Efficiently and effectively utilizing the resources across multiple functional areas of technical organization
  • Ability to continually improve the skills and capabilities of the team

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior experience in Could Enabled Enterprise Applications automation.
  • Prior experience in supporting runtime solutions in Enterprise Set up
  • Prior experience in PaaS enablement for enterprise applications
