As the Director, Accounts Payable Shared Services, you will report directly to the VP of Finance, Real Estate, who will inspire and support your professional growth. The VP will encourage you to embrace greater levels of responsibility, foster a culture of continuous innovation, and develop your leadership skills to their full potential. As an integral part of the finance management team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate and engage with your peers regularly.
- Collaborate and provide essential support in the implementation of the ERP, with the aim of optimizing processes.
- Lead the AP team in harnessing the power of Coupa to optimize and streamline accounts payable processes Including the onboarding of vendors to the Coupa Supplier Portal.
- Foster and uphold robust vendor relationships, promptly and professionally resolving payment issues and addressing inquiries to ensure smooth interactions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of AP operations, while delivering exceptional service levels to our internal stakeholders including working with our Acquisitions Team to onboard new property purchases, Property Accounting Team to finalize month end property FS and Development Team to ensure payments are issued on a timely basis to our contractors.
- Implement KPIs for performance analysis and provide greater value-add insights as a trusted partner to the organization
- Take charge of active vendor management and spend analysis, expanding the scope of the AP team’s responsibilities to contribute significantly to strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with the Technology group to further automate AP processes and integrate systems, ensuring seamless data flow and reducing manual efforts.
- Develop and mentor the AP team, nurturing their growth and fostering a high-performance culture that embraces innovation and operational excellence
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Accounts Payable, demonstrating a strong understanding of AP related processes, technologies and best practices.
- Proven track record of successful team leadership, showcasing the ability to motivate and guide a team while driving positive change within the department.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with VBA and SQL will be viewed as a valuable asset.
- Previous exposure to Oracle or other ERP systems is advantageous, contributing to a smoother integration into our technology-driven environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a talent for building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities, enabling effective management of tasks within tight timelines and amidst shifting priorities.
- Proficient in utilizing technology to drive efficiencies and enhance processes, reflecting an innovative mindset.
- Strong team-oriented approach with a commitment to delivering high-standard reporting and outcomes.
