You will report to the VP, Group Accounting, and is the Leader of the Accounting SSC supporting the AMER Region. The person in this role represents Group Accounting to the President and leadership in the Americas(AMR) Region by providing regular and timely communication on the business as it relates to accounting matters. The person will also ensure the three core towers of Accounting activity (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and GL) are well organized and run efficiently per standard KPIs.

  • Managing the order to cash, procure to pay and record to report teams from transaction initiation to month-end closing of the subledgers and GL.This includes driving best practices and recommending technology investments to continuously improve the efficiency and delivery of service.
  • Partnering with Region and Group Functions to evaluate reserve balances or additional accruals that may be required.
  • Ensuring internal controls are followed, documented and tested.Also recommends new controls where appropriate based on risk assessments within a process.
  • Creating and preparing weekly/monthly dashboards on performance based on key metrics in order to cash, procure to pay and record to report.
  • Coordinating with Group Finance to execute banking, tax, transfer pricing, intercompany and audit related activities within the Americas region
  • Management of a team to include: training, coaching, assigning and reviewing work, documenting and evaluating performance, and conducting hire/discipline/termination activities as needed
  • Managing the preparation of workpapers supporting the annual independent audit and preparation of tax returns;
  • Coordinate the provision of information to outside professional firms to ensure accurate and timely compliance with federal and state taxation laws, rules and regulations and timely preparation of the independent audit and tax return preparation; monitoring banking requirements including compliance with debt covenants and ensures all required reporting is completed on a timely basis;ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings;responsible for ensuring financial compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Leading the Accounting team towards ensuring top level service to other teams in a timely and professional manner; assuming other activities and responsibilities as required
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • 10+ years of experience, 7 + years of management experience
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and IFRS
  • Large ERP system, Microsoft Dynamics or Microsoft AX is a plus
  • Understanding of Accounting and Financial processes including risk and financial controls
  • CPA or CA desired
