As a Senior Financial Accountant you are part of our team within the FSSC (Finance Shared Service Centre). In this position, on the one hand, the focus is on standardization and process improvement, but on the other hand, you also work operationally. Recording processes, risk management, quality improvement and progress monitoring are essential. In addition, legal and tax matters play an important role. In addition to the financial part, the social aspect within the department is an important part for the team. As a Senior Financial Accountant, you motivate the team to discover and utilize growth potential together.
You report to the CFO.
Financial processes
- Identifying (possible) risks, inaccuracies, gaps and imperfections. Linked to this, advising, initiating and monitoring effective improvement actions/control measures for optimizing financial processes and associated information provision
Reporting and reporting
- As a ‘cooperating foreman’, ensure that the financial reports are delivered on time, correctly and completely. All this according to the Planning & Control calendar. The consolidated figures for Geesinknorba are the end product of this. Supporting Plant Controller during the month-end closing process. In addition, support with forecasts, budgeting and interim and end-of-year control.
- Preparing periodic and ad hoc financial reports and analyzes for both internal and external customers.
Sparring partner
- Providing financial advice to both internal and external customers
- Being the point of contact regarding the processes surrounding the financial administration for both internal and external customers.
- Acting as a key user within and outside the team: this means that you act as a point of contact and join in as a project member where necessary.
Financial administration
- You process order-related costs and purchase invoices;
- You prepare, in due course, payments for cost and purchase invoices;
- You carry out financial bookings based on work instructions;
- Perform monthly and year-end closings.
- Updating balance sheet specifications and proactively advising on this.
- Connecting sub-administrations with the general ledger, such as inventory, creditors, debtors and bank
- Coordinate intercompany positions within the entire group.
- HBO working and thinking level, supplemented with an HBO diploma in the field of business economics or accountancy;
- Knowledge in the field of AO/IC, insurance, tax legislation and cash management;
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience. Familiar with working in a highly automated environment (SAP).
