As the Senior Director, Global Learning Shared Services you will report to the Executive Director, Global Commercial Operations (GCO). You will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of a Shared Service Capability, and have shared responsibility for shaping future Global Business Services (GBS) strategy.
Effectively partnering, influencing and challenging key HR Stakeholders to gain support for and fully leverage GBS shared service capabilities, and ensure satisfaction and ongoing continuous improvement of existing Capabilities as well as the expansion of new capabilities aligned to the service roadmap. This is a key role to explore and develop broader capabilities to support HR that can benefit from the shared services approach .
You will have proven experience in shared service capabilities that have driven excellence, innovation and value to support the business. In addition to that strong leadership skills, business acumen and cultural awareness are required in order to develop and motivate the team who will be located in our delivery center and in market roles. It will also be critical to develop a culture within this new area aligned to the AZ and GBS goals of being a Great Place to Work with a diverse and inclusive team.
- Own the development of the Strategy for the delivery operations for a Learning services capability in partnership with AZ HR business leaders. This strategy will build upon the existing capability in Learning admin, content production and reporting. This strategy must support and challenge the HR learning services road map.
- You will create a culture within this new team to make sure it is a great place to work and aligned to the AZ values.
- Build and establish the Learning shared service team to meet agreed SLAs and timelines and ensure appropriate resourcing and budget/funding requirements are in place. Working with other GBS towers you will drive automation and process improvement of services year on year.
- You will provide proactive Identification of scalable business opportunities from within other HR areas which may be candidates for the GBS model building on the above strategy. This will develop through close collaboration with teams from functional leadership within HR and business units.
- Thorough collaboration with GCO/GBS colleagues regarding potential new shared service capabilities and necessary Business Case creation to support HR service expansion and project delivery to establish. New HR Services may require development of new tools, processes or a combination of both. As a member of the Leadership team review and evolve organizational structure to support future business needs.
- Responsibility for ongoing communication around HR shared services strategy/ initiatives to the business units. Leverage reporting and utilization metrics to communicate overall adoption/performance of HR services. Where there are gaps, work with HR Leadership to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Strong leadership, communication, project management and critical thinking skills along with high cultural awareness to effectively lead and deliver successful global projects supported by a globally based multi-cultural team.
- Possesses strong business acumen and understanding of the global AZ shared services model and delivery processes and corresponding business requirements. Must be able to assess complex process and system interdependencies and devise appropriate change management approaches in order to realize and sustain benefits of new capabilities.
- GBS services are sometimes delivered through outsourced partners in conjunction with AZ dedicated resources and you will be required to have an understanding of supplier management to ensure continuous value optimisation and high performance for AstraZeneca.
- Operations will be delivered in the main by the AZ Chennai business services team – you will be required to set direction, monitor use and shape the future remit of the off-shore team in partnership with our AZ Chennai Leadership team to deliver the HR Learning services strategy.
- You will demonstrate comprehensive understanding and application of all relevant policies, procedures and operational frameworks. Ensures GCO/GBS direct and indirect reports comply with all appropriate AZ Code of Conduct policies and procedures.
- Extensive Shared service experience in a leadership position.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with Senior Leaders and other key Stakeholders
