The Regional Finance Director will be responsible for maximizing the financial returns for what is considered a growth engine of United Utility. T&D Construction Services will continue to expand its offerings with existing customers, leveraging capital investment, and entering new markets. This individual will need to establish the necessary framework to guide ongoing financial decisions. The vision to build a finance organization that can be leveraged as a shared service across all T&D will need the right leader of construction services who can synthesize best practices accordingly.
- Build, develop, lead, and mentor a team that will operate in a varied revenue model focusing on unit-price cost accounting with fixed/not-fixed units.
- Ensure proper Revenue Recognition in accordance with GAAP and internal procedures and ensure timely billing in accordance with the contract.
- Establish the financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems that ultimately elevate the performance of the T&D business.
- Lead cost and general accounting, accounts receivable/collections, payroll, and risk management.
- Provide analysis and interpretations of monthly/quarterly operating results and financial conditions through timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Partner with the leadership team to define a high-performance culture of integrity and continuous improvement through actions and communications.
- 5+ years of experience developing and implementing best practice finance and accounting processes and procedures.
- A proven track record of collaboration, accountability, and high performance in a business or division with multiple service/product lines, channels, and customer markets.
- The competency to communicate at all levels in a clear, concise, and credible manner to synthesize disparate data/variables into easy-to-understand, useful information.
- Big company best practices married with a dynamic entrepreneurial pace that can institute process control maturity to support continued acquisitional and organic growth/scale.
- The ability to develop relationships/partnerships cross-functionally and across business lines will be critical to success.
- Bachelor s degree in accounting and finance or related
