As a growing company, we are looking for a person to partner with our President to provide leadership and direction to the business as it relates to the general management of distribution operations, company ERP technology, employee welfare, and customer satisfaction with our services.

The candidate should excel at both service delivery and technical expertise and feel comfortable with the fast pace of a same-day shipping environment. They must be competent in working autonomously, taking initiative, managing multiple projects and various levels of management, skilled at conflict resolution, and at performing fact-based analysis to find creative solutions.

Departments reporting to this role include Shipping, Receiving, Inventory/Logistics, Human Resources, and Information Technology.

• Responsible to improve the efficiency of the distribution process.
• Provide leadership to distribution management in shipping, receiving, logistics, and inventory control, including cost effective staffing plans for all areas.
• Provide leadership to IT and Human Resources to achieve department goals and ERP system maintenance and development.
• Identifies, recommends, and implements new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of labor resources.
• Translates strategy into actionable steps for management teams to successfully execute.
• Oversee company operations and employee productivity, building a highly accountable and supportive culture that ensures team members can thrive while organizational goals are met.
• Drives change and innovations with a dedication to establishing cost-reduction solutions.
• Reviews and approves critical staffing requirements to ensure same-day shipping objectives are met without compromise to the quality of the customer experience.
• Manages and motivates teams, creating a positive work culture and ensuring team members have the resources that need to succeed.
• Negotiate contracts with UPS, FedEx and other carriers as needed for outbound and inbound shipments.
• P&L review and Capital expense budgeting.
• Directs and maintains company safety and security initiatives to ensure employee health and well-being.
• Responsible to manage company owned facility and grounds.

• BA or BS college degree a minimum, advanced degrees in business management or technical studies associated around distribution or supply chain management are a plus.
• 5-10 years’ experience working in a leadership position at a distribution company.
• Experience in distribution operations and workflow automation; driving cost savings.
• Quick learner with a professional demeanor, capable of handling multiple projects and deadlines with urgency and professionalism.
• Proficient communication in oral and written forms, presenting information for department management, and in motivating and clearly directing teams across the organization.
