Job Description
Here the Finance Shared Services (FSS) Team interacts and works with finance teams of operating companies of the Group in US & Europe. As the company will continue to grow, the incumbent would be expected to work with finance teams of the client outside of operating entities too (3rd party clients in mid-market segment).
FSS team works closely with management & the business in addition to other core finance activities like P2P, O2C, R2R, FP&A, M&A, Pricing, procurement, taxation, payroll, strategy, etc. The FSS team is based out of Gurgaon office. The role leads a team of Finance professionals to ensure that overall delivery of services to clients meets or exceeds agreed KPIs, and SLAs defined between Operating Companies and BSC and is within a strong internal control framework. The incumbent will play a critical role in building the capability and standards of the BSC and will support the development and sustainability of the BSC by ensuring service delivery excellence. The role shall manage a team of 60+ finance professionals with approximately 8-10 immediate subordinates. It’s growing role and headcount will grow at a faster pace in the next 6-18 months. Additionally, this role will lead the finance (including legal & compliance) function and its team for India businesses (2 legal entities). The role reports directly to CEO, India.Tower/Functional Leadership
- Set and manage finance tower performance & provide strategic direction, while ensuring smooth delivery of day-to-day operations for all processes under Finance. Also, provide supervision to processes outside Finance (if required)
- Leading a team of Managers & Senior Managers to ensure that overall delivery of services is within agreed SLA’s & KPI’s as defined between Operating Companies and BSC.
- The leader will ensure local finance function including forecasting/budgeting/ reporting, transfer pricing, month close, funds management at the organization level
- The leader will also own the legal & compliance function while closing working with the outsourced legal firm or compliance partners for any external advise
Customer Relationship Management
- Manage customer relationship (CXO level and N-1) and liaise with the client for ensuring alignment on process related activities, changes in process and identifying opportunities to transition more activities to BSC.
- Ensure that internal customer and supplier issues are dealt with in accordance with the escalation process and push back when that is not the case.
- Act as a point of escalation for critical/ complex service issues
Pre-sales, Due Diligence & Transition Support
- Play a lead role in pre-sales, due diligence and transition of processes by bringing in finance shared services specific knowledge & best practices for smooth implementation and execution (work closely with transition teams for 3rd party as well as group entities)
- Working closely with Tower leads to establish the right organization for Finance areas within BSC (relating to people, skillset, reporting relationships etc.)
Team leadership
- Carry out team management responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

Service Excellence
- Ensuring that overall delivery of services to Operating companies meets or exceeds agreed KPIs, and SLAs defined between Operating Companies and BSC and is within a strong internal control framework.
- Partner with the Service Management team to: o Develop and track Service Level Agreements (SLA) to ensure service delivery excellence. o Provide input to service reporting. o Facilitate service transition when required.
- Ensure that Internal Customer and Supplier issues are dealt with in accordance with the escalation process and push back where this is not the case.
- Build customer relationship, drive confidence & improve customer happiness
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Create a mindset of innovation aimed at constantly challenging the norm to drive business value.
- Responsible for ensuring a disciplined approach to operational excellence/performance management is in place and evolves over time.
- Driving ongoing continuous improvement through LEAN/ six sigma, automation opportunities within all processes to improve profitability.
- Hands-on experience of accounting ERP’s is must with good knowledge across finance processes (P2P, R2R, O2C, FP&A, Pricing) including best practices, technologies, processes & tools.
- Knowledge of Accounting GAAP & accounting practices, financial management, sourcing & contracting processes
- Ability to think strategically, taking a balanced short and long-term view when solving problems.
- Experience of supervising managers of multifunctional or global teams in the past and ideally worked in an operations environment to deliver high quality outcomes and results.
- Result oriented, with a high level of motivation for self-growth, along with the drive for growing team members and overall organization.
- Experience working for a multinational organization and working with colleagues internationally.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and ability to communicate effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of IndAs or IFRS, US GAAP and other accounting / auditing/ reporting standards.
- Knowledge of local compliances for India will be an added advantage
- CA/CPA with 14 to 18 yrs of experience.
