The Director of HR Shared Services plays a pivotal role in building and overseeing multiple critical HR functions within our organization. This role will serve as both a strategy architect and hands-on operational leader reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer. This role will lead a team responsible for Total Rewards, HRIS Administration, People Analytics, & Onboarding to deliver support to approximately 3,000 employees across 12 states.

  • Serves as the structure architect providing strategic leadership and direction for the HR Shared Services department (currently comprised of: People Analytics, HRIS Management, Onboarding, and Total Rewards/Benefits/Leave Administration).
  • Delivers HR services, procedures and processes that are considered value added, measurable, directly tied to business objectives and aimed at increasing employee success and satisfaction.
  • Focus should be on continual improvement of our services and enable our HR Shared Services to provide high quality service to our employees and affiliates through multichannel web-based technologies using UKG (UltiPro), iCIMS, SkyPrep, SharePoint, Teams, etc.
  • Develops and executes a strategy that enables business leaders to make data-driven decisions that improve business outcomes.
  • Proactively makes data-driven decisions and manage complex initiatives from conception to deployment.
  • Partners with the executive team, and other key stakeholders to develop, execute, and communicate key benefits programs, importantly, through the effective collaboration with EyeSouth’s benefits broker.
  • This role does not require health and wellness benefits expertise, but it does require deep experience with vendor management and financial analysis in order to effectively oversee the design, funding, and administration of all annual benefits projects.
  • Establishes the HR technology strategy and collaborates with key stakeholders on alignment and execution.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (minimum) in Business, Finance, Psychology, or HR related field.
  • 8+ years in HR Shared Services/HR Operations required.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience leading a team of 4+ direct reports required.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing HRIS and/or People Analytics teams.
  • Prior project management experience strongly preferred.
  • Multi-state/site HR experience required.
  • HR Designation/Certification from SHRM or HRCI required or ability to sit for the exam within the first 12 months.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid office environment 2-3 days per week minimum.
  • Ability to travel overnight as required (plane/car).
  • Prior experience managing a budget strongly preferred.
  • Medical/Ophthalmology experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong understanding of HR Generalist duties.
