As the Director – Corporate Finance and HR Technology, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of all IT systems related to Finance and Human Resources Operations. With your 15+ years of experience in this field, you will lead a team of IT professionals and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the effective and efficient utilization of technology solutions. Your role will be pivotal in driving innovation, enhancing operational performance, and supporting the growth of the organization’s Corporate Finance and Human Resources functions.

Major Activities

  • Team Leadership and Management
  • Recruit, train, and mentor a team of IT professionals specializing in merchandising and supply chain systems; and,
  • Provide guidance and support to the team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Vendor Management
  • Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers; and,
  • Collaborate with vendors to define system requirements, oversee implementation projects, and ensure successful delivery.
  • System Maintenance and Support
  • Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to ensure system availability and reliability; and,
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, troubleshooting system-related problems and resolving them in a timely manner.
  • Compliance and Security
  • Ensure Finance and Human Resources systems comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and best practices; and,
  • Implement and maintain appropriate security measures to safeguard data and mitigate risks.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance and Human Resources, to understand their technology needs and align IT solutions, accordingly; and,
  • Build strong relationships with business leaders, acting as a trusted advisor on technology-related matters.

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent years of experience

Minimum Special Certifications or Technical Skills

  • Oracle Financial or similar financial ERP packages
  • Retail Sales Audit (ReSA)
  • Human Capital Planning and Forecasting
  • Financial Backend Systems, Integration and Processes

Minimum Type of Experience the Job Requires

  • 15 years of experience in IT roles, with a focus on Corporate Finance and Human Resources systems;
  • Strong knowledge of retail finance and human resources processes and systems, including Oracle retail sales audit processes, workday forecasting and integrations, retail tax systems, and developing and implementing financial policies and procedures, reporting systems and methods as well as financial controls.
  • Experience in leading and managing IT teams, driving projects, and delivering results in a fast-paced, complex environment.
  • Enhances and drives the implementation of best practices, standardizations, and cost-effectiveness strategies, as well as the internal controls and compliance across the Shared Services
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies, such as AI, machine learning, and data analytics and their applications in the retail industry.

Preferred Education

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
