Leadership and Management •

Use values based leadership to ensure the Shared Services Team is supported in the work they undertake and are equipped with the necessary resources and information flow to work across all areas of the organization. •

Actively contribute to a healthy workplace culture where staff are engaged and feel accountable and motivated to achieve goals and grow in their skills and capabilities

Work with the CEO to prepare implement, monitor, and evaluate, strategic and operational projects and functions. •

Provide backfill for the CEO where relevant

Finance and Business Responsibilities •

Ensure best practice business and finance principles, protocols, systems, and structures are in place, including the effective and efficient use of resources that align with the strategic objectives and principles of the organization •

Oversee and lead the budgeting process including the establishment of organizational budgeting framework and reporting mechanisms.

Negotiate and manage contracts with all external service providers. •

Contribute to the regular identification and reporting of risks. Inform the CEO and Board of risks and mitigation strategies.

Proactively identify and implement opportunities to improve the sustainability of the organization’s funding, structure services and activities.

Prepare monthly financial reports for the CEO and Board and support the annual auditing processes

Human Resources •

Provide oversight of the provision of Human Resources Services, policies and programs including:  Workforce planning  HR/Payroll systems (Xero), training and evaluation  Oversee recruitment and staffing requirements and processes.  Oversee employee onboarding, development, and training.

  • Ensure compliance with OHS legislation, policy, systems, and processes to contribute to a culture of safety, quality improvement and compliance

Quality, Risk and Data

Ensure organisational capability to input, collate and draw on data that has the integrity to meets all external and internal reporting requirements.

Monitor the Business Portal within the Service and Funding Agreement and keep updated on compliance.

Ensure the continuous review of the Quality Assurance System; quality records, policies, procedure, and processes.

Successfully lead the organization through accreditation and audit processes

Strong demonstrated expertise in fostering and role modelling a culture aligned with the values of the organization.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage operational systems for community services organisations.
  • Experience in financial management and interpretation of financial reports, budget management and forecasting.
  • Experience in human resources and workforce management, including performance management, policy and procedure development and a comprehensive understanding of Industrial and workplace legislation.
  • Excellent written, verbal and communication skills. • Advanced IT and Microsoft Office Suite skills.
