About The Role
Reporting to the Head of Procurement, the Senior Category Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the end-to-end ICT category strategy, identifying cost savings and producing tangible procurement, contract management and aggregation benefits.
The Senior Category Manager will coach, mentor and influence team members and will support the Head of Procurement to achieve both strategic and operational goals.
The role will be Adelaide based with some interstate travel to Brisbane (10-15%)
- Working collaboratively with stakeholders to support the achievement of their business plans.
- Maintaining excellence in customer service with regular client contact.
- Providing expertise and guidance through ongoing analysis of ICT procurement spend and contract performance management.
- Managing the procurement process from contract tender through to award and vendor management, including supplier monitoring and dispute resolution.
- Implementing and monitoring best practice policies and procedures to ensure probity and compliance with internal requirements and external regulations.
- Degree level qualification in a relevant discipline, ideally having CIPS/MCIPS membership/qualification.
- Demonstrated commercial experience in procurement and contract management within the ICT category, ideally coupled with knowledge of the financial services industry (APRA knowledge).
- Excellent communication, negotiation and management skills with the ability to build effective relationships and influence at all levels.
- Strong Commercial awareness with tactical and strategic delivery, support and leadership skills
