VP, Global Process Manager – Accounts Payable

This role is part of the Global Finance Operations department and will be responsible for Accounts Payable process improvement and global system implementation across different regions, driving consistency (wherever possible) in Accounts Payable operating model. The successful applicant will need to understand the environment and be a critical thinking thought leader focused on improving Accounts Payable processes, throughout automation, process reengineering, and implementation of AP Target Operating Model. A key element of this role will be to develop and maintain a strong, collaborative, working relationship with the Regional Account Payable (AP) teams, shared services operational leaders, Chubb Procurement, Travel, Global Treasury and IT teams to define, design and implement AP process improvements. This position is in Philadelphia.

  • As Global Process Manager for Accounts Payable, provide subject matter expertise for AP related processes and Industry leading platforms; keep up to date on AP market trends and best practices.
  • Drive towards global consistency (wherever possible) in design, use and adoption of AP processes and a common operating model.
  • Lead and / or support regional Account Payable (AP) teams in the implementation of AP, Travel and Expense tools, and other payment-related process initiatives / systems including Concur, Coupa etc.
  • Partner with Chubb Procurement, Travel, Accounts Payable Teams, Global Treasury and IT to standardize Accounts Payable and associated payment related processes.
  • Define a standard suite of process outputs and key performance indicators to drive process improvement. Partner with regional AP teams to implement the tool set to generate those outputs and metrics and to optimize performance.
  • Define and operationalize Global Governance mechanisms including Community of Practices across regional AP teams to share best practices, reusable solutions etc.
  • Ideate, evaluate, pilot and make case for change to implement new AP technologies including process automation, intelligent automation, analytics etc.
  • Evaluate and operationalize best in class consistent control framework for AP related processes (e.g., Fraud Analytics).
  • Portfolio management of AP related initiatives.
  • This role will not be accountable for service delivery or AP operations.
  • Expectation that role holder will be capable of transitioning to other Finance process management roles.

Key Skill Sets:

  • Significant experience in leading and driving AP or similar process implementations and initiatives in a global Financial Services organization; familiarity with practices in APAC and LATAM is desirable
  • Having knowledge / familiarity with core AP and payment related technologies such as Coupa, Concur, PeopleSoft AP, SAP Ariba etc. is highly desirable
  • Strong influencing skills. Ability to collaborate and reach across the aisle to influence multiple regional process teams, Treasury, and IT towards common goals and objectives
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to managing multiple stakeholders (internal and external) that support Chubb’s core technologies to drive towards optimal outcomes for Chubb

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; other areas of study might include taxation, business ethics, and economics.
  • Master’s degree preferred
