This position will drive the FP&A & R2R transformation with the primary responsibility for the development of end-to-end infrastructure and tool strategy in support of Business Finance and Analytics.
- Support end to end strategy and vision for FP&A & R2R in collaboration with the FP&A & R2R CoE leads, Business Unit CFO organizations and the Finance Transformation Office
- Enable the realization of the desired FP&A & R2R strategy by leveraging functional process owners within segment CoEs and Genpact
- Implement technical vision and strategy in partnership with business FP&A & R2R teams to identify business requirements and solution design
- Expand digital capabilities by staying informed / trained on new best in class technologies and options for the FP&A & R2R space
- Bring together marketplace leading practices and Cardinal needs to determine “best fit” solutions for organization
- Review business requirements across the enterprise to define opportunities for digitization
- Blend financial acumen and best in class digital capabilities’ perspectives to support FP&A, R2R, Analytics and Management Reporting
- Lead and drive overall implementation across enterprise-wide FP&A & R2R to enable the realization of long-term FP&A & R2R vision at Cardinal Health
- Assess the impact of ongoing transformations across the organization to drive seamless integration across multiple functions and technologies
- Focus on delivering accelerated next generation capabilities focused on insight generation and analytics
- Manage ongoing business unit demand for new services or customization as business evolves
- Drive internal adoption with business units / impacted stakeholders
- Member of governance forum for opportunity prioritization, overall design and execution governance and funding
- Cross-functional Business Partnering with Other CAH Stakeholders
The Director, Finance Transformation will work cross-functionally within and outside of FP&A, R2R and our outside partners. The following is representative of the cross-functional interactions:
- Lead BPO initiatives to “incubate” and implement digital technology programs and pilots
- Collaborate with BU Finance teams to drive enterprise-wide adoption of new technology tools and programs
- Drive integration across other programs and technology functions (e.g., EIT, FOS, Transformation Management Office, Digital Innovations)
- Engage with business unit CFO organizations to obtain insights and understand their requirements relating to the business processes as well as Management Reporting
- Engage with our FP&A, R2R and Management reporting leads with our outside partner (Genpact) to communicate the agreed upon strategies and requirements
- Periodic reporting to the Senior Finance Management regarding proposed and in-flight initiatives
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
- MBA and/or CPA or equivalent is preferred
- Minimum of 12+ years of Finance experience with increasing level of responsibilities within a multinational corporation
- Extensive experience and knowledge in FP&A & R2R process improvement
- Organizational Change Management experience
- Experience managing a Business Process Outsourcing vendor(s) or other outsource providers is preferred
- Previous Project Management experience is a plus
- Strong leadership abilities: proven visionary thinking with a clear ability to construct, energize and manage a large team of colleagues
- Strong communications skills that are adaptable to different stakeholder groups and levels
- Skilled at influencing others to move toward a common vision and effectively leading cross-functional teams
- Performance-driven mindset with the ability to prioritize business finance needs for innovative finance analytics and business partnering solutions
- Skilled at developing strong relationships with finance business partners and working collaboratively with / through others
- A focus on innovation and continuous improvement, with the ability to drive buy-in and change across the organization
