With 8 Operating Plants and over 1,700 associates, Upstate Niagara Cooperative, Inc. is a food and beverage company that has offered innovative, award-winning, high-quality dairy products since 1965. The Director of Human Resources will provide leadership and oversight to Human Resource Managers at these locations.
- Ensures effective partnering with teams and organizational leaders to develop people and related organizational strategies that integrate with and support business strategies, goals, and objectives.
- Oversees the provision of coaching and advice to leaders in support of building effective teams and addressing Team Member relations matters.
- Provides leadership and oversight to Human Resource Managers.
- Consults with company leaders on areas including organizational design, talent development, workforce planning, talent acquisition, rewards, training, leadership development, and performance management.
- Ensures effective and integrated support for Learning & Development, Compensation, Benefits, HRIS, and Shared Services Operations.
- Ensures compliance with corporate policies and with government regulations and statutory requirements (including EEO, FMLA, and FLSA).
- Assists the senior management team in developing human resource strategies.

Experience and Education
- Has extensive experience with the concepts and principles of one or more related fields or departments.
- Leads and directs the work of Human Resource Managers and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination.
- Contributes to strategic planning, direction, and goal setting for the department or function in collaboration with senior management.
- Requires a bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of experience, including some prior management experience.
