This position will oversee the strategic direction and financial management of the Supply Chain Finance function.

  • Lead the development and creation of supply chain processes (startup mentality), being flexible and creative and acting as a change agent to influence adoption
  • In maturing processes, be able to see what matters and what doesn’t matter and focus appropriately
  • Create and implement a clear strategic vision of how finance can enable supply chain to optimize the business and organization, to connect operational metrics to accounting and financial outcomes, to drive business success and long-term growth
  • Provide strategic financial leadership by partnering with Senior Supply Chain Management on initiatives and sequencing to create a competitive advantage in sourcing, production, logistics, distribution, and procurement achieving cost and service objectives
  • Develop tangible cost and capacity glide paths in line with revenue and profitability targets through production and sourcing strategies
  • Lead the Supply Chain Finance function including 1) Financial Planning and analysis, 2) Sourcing/Operations support, 3) Product pricing support.
  • Act as chief financial lead for the most impactful line on the company P&L – COGS
  • Act as strategic thought partner, finance lead, reporting and analysis provider to supply chain officer and their direct reports. (scope: owned stores and franchise)
  • Coach, mentor, manage, develop each of the finance leads for the three core supply chain finance pillars mentioned above
  • Oversee the financial reporting for the Shared Service Supply Chain function, with a priority on COGS inflation (system and company)
  • Manage the commodity market basket (COGS) including preparing annual budgets, monthly forecasts along with variance tracking each period
  • Mature the development of analytical views that include segmenting by supplier, spend components (commodities, processing, freight, DC fees), historical inflation by brand, contracts by vendor, etc.
  • Extend current analysis and reporting of commodity market basket to all brands
  • Build model capabilities to support future reporting efforts that could include cost to prepare, buying behavior analytics, and validation of menu margins
  • Lead the executive directed ‘Acceleration Office’ in the identification, development and tracking of synergy initiatives resulting in substantial EBITDA gains (+$50M in corporate EBITDA improvement in 2023)
  • Lead the review process that shares progress with stakeholders and highlights areas of risk and opportunity
  • Continue to expand financial reporting and drive standardization within Supply Chain Finance to help inform decision making and provide leadership with a clear picture of COGS
  • Partner with Procurement during RFP’s to model out financial impacts and help ensure data is accurate and presented clearly for senior leadership
  • Help drive forecast accuracy by closing the loop on variance reconciliations and use data to improve forecast intelligence
  • Keep key stakeholders and leadership informed via Scorecards and Dashboards
  • Continue to evolve media by which we share financial data

Education And Experience Qualifications

  • Minimum: 4 year Degree
  • Preferred: MBA, CPA, CMA
  • Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Operations, Accounting, or related business field
  • 8 – 11 years
  • 9 – 11 years in Supply Chain Finance, Finance, Accounting, or similar role
  • 3 – 5 years managerial experience

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS Or ABILITIES

  • Advanced knowledge of supply chain operations and finance, preferably in the restaurants or retail industries
  • Advanced ERP knowledge and / or data extraction experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills
  • Advanced Data Modeling, Analytics, and Visualization Tools
  • Ability to See the Big Picture and Simplify the Complex
  • Ability to Automate, Reengineer Processes and Challenge the Status Quo
  • Ability to influence strategic decision making with quantitative and qualitative support
