Reporting to MBS Hub leader, this role will work closely with Global Procurement Sector/Cluster leaders to provide exceptional operational shared services for Global Procurement: Spend Visibility and Analytics; Contracting; RFX; Supplier Info Management; PR2PO, Procurement Support. This includes leading the Global Procurement Operations at the hub including back Office and associated technologies required to perform, support, and achieve Global Procurement excellence in shared services.
She/He will also play a pivotal role in multiple stakeholders management on the business side as well as working in collaboration with the Hub Leader to put together the ongoing optimization/transformation strategy for Global Procurement shared services Working in a matrixed environment but reporting primarily to a global functional leader in the US, the MBS GP Tower Lead will lead the creation and value delivery of Procurement Services across LATAM, PFNA, PBNA & Europe ensuring end-to-end processes, driving speed and cost efficiency.
As MBS Procurement Functional Lead your scope would consist of:
- Setup Global shared services in MBS for Global Procurement with leading practices and policies e.g. delivery platforms, remuneration strategy, IT enablement, and overall positioning of shared services for Global Procurement within the organization
- Manage Global Procurement Services Tower to drive improved service, higher quality and lower costs
- Responsible for integrating and developing processes that meet GBS needs and GP needs.
- Interact and partner with GP Management to coordinate on strategy, priorities alignment, short and long terms plans, and governance and benchmark relevant KPIs and Service Level Agreement.
- Ensure timely, accurate and cost-effective services while providing value added information for decision support.
- Lead collaboration across the matrix, focusing on productivity.
- Lead GP migration of processes across all stages of transition – knowledge capture, knowledge transfer, go-live/cut-over and scale up
- Drive successful implementation of work coming into the Mexico hub with an emphasis on robust planning, transformation and transparent communication with impacted stakeholders
- Accountable of operational services, such as: Spend Visibility and Analytics; Contracting; RFX; Supplier Info Management; PR2PO, Procurement Support
- Oversee workforce planning including development, training, deployment, retention and performance
- Track reporting metrics to consistently measure and report effectiveness around quality, responsiveness, cost and other KPIs
- Develop and execute effective continuous improvement initiatives and focus on process standardization, simplification and optimization
- Deliver quarterly performance results and action plans
- Establish a business services technical & leadership career path, competencies & development plans
- Create a Culture of Service Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Manage and motivate large teams of Service Delivery and Capability Leads
- Organize weekly/monthly quaryterly reviews for heads of Cluster and Heads of Capability to insure continuous improvement in efficiency, effectiveness and overall integration oif the work with markets
- Drive comprehensive change management within Business, emphasizing the need for change and role each individual plays
- Facilitate smooth transition of processes from retained organization to GBS (future scope could also include other support functions and group companies)
- On going review of Global Procurement Organization to drive agility and effectiveness
- 15+ years of years of experience in Global Procurement Team Management and Shared Services
- BS Required; MBA preferred
- Strategic Thinking and Planning skills
- Excellent communication; both oral and written and excellent interpersonal skills. Strong use of influencing skills to gain alignment
- Previous experience as a people leader/GM experience is a plus
- Ability to provide superior customer service
- Propensity to learn PepsiCo software systems
- Excellent leadership and customer management skills
