The role of Regional Director of Supply Chain, Special Events is responsible for providing strategic direction for the purchasing team, maintaining relationships with distributor business partners, and implementing short and long term strategies to drive supply chain development.

  • Oversee of four key roles of responsibilities inclusive of buying, warehouse management, payment management, and inventory control
  • Line manage senior members of the Supply Chain team
  • Lead development and implementation of Levy’s supply chain strategy to build effective systems and processes and drive performance across the global virtual supply network.
  • Develop and implement the short and long term strategy for supply chain development and lead the cross functional team to establish highly effective processes.
  • Manage cross functional interactions with finance, operations and purchasing to ensure collaboration and synergy
  • Oversee the optimization of regional and location level supply chain purchasing procedures
  • Lead implementation and process improvement initiatives for supply chain’s key performance indicators (KPIs) across locations
  • Apply supply chain goals and objectives to continuously monitor location and regional purchaser performance
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with all external and internal stakeholders to ensure that performance targets are met or exceeded
  • Partner with the Compass Food Buy team to identify opportunities for food cost efficiencies and other areas of collaboration
  • Review and approve technical reports and documents related to supply chain activities
  • Oversee the management of supplier agreements
  • Assist management and negotiation of sponsorship agreements
  • Ensure all purveyors and manufacturers meet our ethical and safety standards
  • Leadership support of operational budgets, cost controls and resource planning to meet corporate strategic objectives, help coordinate activities on a department level.
  • Promotes a cooperative work climate, maximizing productivity, morale, and professional development
  • Contributes to the development of Levy’s Purchasing Strategy and translates said strategy into impactful, implementable opportunities
  • Works with the Division President and E15 to identify supply chain efficiency opportunities, by process, system or structural changes
  • Owns the demand and supply planning cycle, ensuring that the Purchasing team is effectively collaborating with Finance, Operations, Culinary, and E15 in the evolution of our operation
  • Represents Purchasing within business development pursuits and helps develop management builds, pro formas, etc. in a manner that ensures optimal margin management
  • Collaborates with the Divisional Culinary VP on emerging trends and commercializing innovation
  • Builds relationships with vendor base and facilitates issue resolution
  • Works with divisional leadership to enable revenue growth and course correct margin misses
  • Partners with Compass and Foodbuy to drive program compliance and holds teams accountable to direction therein
  • Leads succession planning and works with HR and Operations to close coverage gaps
  • Maintains strong partnerships with all purveyors
  • Experience in a managerial purchasing or supply chain role
  • Experience in budgeting and finance procedures
  • Bachelor’s degree in a supply chain management or related business discipline
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills required, along with solid critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized, with ability to plan, prioritize, and follow through
  • Employs sound judgment and exhibits personal integrity
