The Associate Vice President for Business Affairs is responsible for analyzing clinical, operational, and financial data and making recommendations to support management and oversight of the University’s interest in UT Health East Texas.The position works closely with various healthcare entities associated with the institution and supports senior leadership by providing regular feedback through analysis of clinical, operational, and financial reports.
- Responsible for regularly monitoring, analyzing, troubleshooting, and reporting on various clinical, operational, and financial aspects of the UT Health East Texas joint venture, including matters referred to the Board for consideration, operating reports, revenue cycle performance, earnings forecasts, shared services allocation methodologies, intercompany contracts and payments, etc.
- Provides and senior university leadership with regularly occurring and ad hoc analytical reports and recommendations based on industry standards and best practices.
- Responsible for detailed data analysis that allows for benchmarking, forecasting and progress to meeting the insititution’s established goals and effective intergration and oversight.
- Provides cost benefit analysis for various projects as directed by senior university leadership.

Qualifications
Required Education / Experience:
- Master’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field of discipline from an accredited university is required.
- Fifteen (15) years’ experience in business operations, accounting, or financial management in healthcare settings is required.
- Five (5) years’ of supervisory or management experience is preferred.
