We’re on a journey to advance our IT capabilities and elevate value delivery to our customers. The Vice President, Digital and Enterprise Applications has the responsibility to develop and drive technology strategy, solution discovery, and service/risk/relationship management for enterprise applications, including digital, CRM, supply chain and financial and inventory ERP. In addition, they will serve as the business relationship link between select IT shared services and the Education division. Reporting to the SVP of Enterprise IT with a strong dotted line to the Education division President, this leader will work with a talented team to accelerate our efforts to leverage modern technologies. The ideal candidate is a pragmatic, hands-on leader with deep B2B and B2C business acumen and a collaborative spirit.
- Provide strategic thought partnership and guidance through key IT initiatives and be accountable for the successful deployment and use of technology in the division.
- Build and manage technical development plans for division/IT initiatives to facilitate timely delivery of desired results with measurable outcomes.
- Develop solution concepts and business cases for new investments needed by the Business Unit
- Maintain matrixed responsibility and accountability for the people, processes and technology that comprise enabling shared services across IT infrastructure, corporate applications, and cybersecurity
- Recruit, develop and retain high caliber talent, especially for key leadership positions, and develop a robust career ladder for the team.
- Actively participate in strategic and budgetary planning processes. Develop multi-year IT spend models and maintain and execute annual operating and capital budgets and rolling 18 months forecasts
- Bring a breadth of technology and leadership experience across different types of IT roles and initiatives in matrixed organizations
- Are passionate about serving as the voice of the business within the IT team and serve as the voice of IT within the business teams.
- Build trust with business sponsors, stakeholders, IT leaders and staff by demonstrating a high degree of self-awareness, empathy, listening, and active curiosity.
- Provide insights on new technologies and advise on how this can impact/contribute to the business strategy.
- Have a reputation for championing a continuous improvement mindset and provide guidance to evolve processes, tools, and templates for high quality technology delivery
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
- A minimum of 10 years in enterprise package implementations, software development, strategic planning, building/managing technology portfolios, project management, process development, operations support and resource management in both enterprise business systems and infrastructure
- At least 5 years of senior leadership experience
- Experience with enterprise platforms including NetSuite, Salesforce (sales cloud, service cloud, marketing cloud), modern Digital (Shopify, Magento, Drupal) and cloud-based Data Platforms and reporting tools
